About this campaign
Cecil, a well-known lion from the Hwange National Park in western Zimbabwe, was killed this month by alleged trophy hunters. In an effort to raise awareness for this already threatened species, we've created this shirt honoring Cecil.
Proceeds will go to the African Wildlife Foundation who are already making efforts to protect African lions and increase regulations on trophy hunting so that there will be #NoMoreCecils
A study from 2014 showed that the total population of lions in Africa is estimated at about 34,000, down by at least 50% from three decades before. In some regions, like West Africa, these lions have been almost completely wiped out. It has already been officially proposed that the African lion receive protection under the Endangered Species Act.
While the news of Cecil's death is tragic, hopefully it will shed light on a growing problem in the area. Join our efforts to spread the word about trophy hunting, so that no more threatened species will be needlessly killed for sport.

I was horrified at this barbaric act! No person who has the ability to feel empathy can do such a horrible thing. We MUST wake up and protect our wildlife.
I was horrified by what happened to Cecil and would like to help stop this kind of carnage in the future.
I want to help protect the other species on earth. Mankind is not the only one that is important contrary to some people's beliefs.
Big Game Hunting needs to be abolished worldwide. It's cruel to hunt these animals for pure sport and then post your bragging rights on social media like you're some kind of big shot.
Animal extinction is a very real threat and senseless killing must stop.
