About this campaign

We are proactively saving the lives of feral cats by operating a spay/neuter rescue. in order to keep this going we need your help for the cost of the vet bill for spay and neuter you may help by ordering a t-shirt.

Cats Get Lucky Because We Spay It Forward! Erie Trap and Release; Founded in May 2013 by Toni Smith & Michael Jones We are collectively and proactively saving the lives of feral cats and sheltered cats by operating a spay/neuter rescue; we need your help! For all of our lives so far the members of our family and our friends have wanted to and then decided to make a difference by taking action with a hands-on approach to saving the lives of the helpless cats. It is our mission to lower pet populations by spaying it forward to actively relieve shelters by shutting off the supply of more cats. After receiving reports of feral cats from people in our community, we go to the location reported and set up a trap for the cats. We then wait for the cat at the location, to be trapped in our equipment and we transport the cat to our home. We crate the cat with food and water, a litter box and a blanket that is changed and cleaned several times throughout the day. The cats are fostered here in a warm clean and safe environment with lots of attention to each cat. Vetting is arranged for the cat including spay/neuter and rabies vaccinations. The cost of vetting normally runs about $70 a cat depending on the health of the cat and other related concerns. The costs of the food, water, litter box, cleaning supplies and all other overhead costs is the real reason we have fundraisers like this one. We are with these cats all of the time to make sure of their comfort and well-being but we need your help! We need not only to raise awareness of the epidemic of high pet populations but how to lower these statics naturally with spay/neuter operations like our rescue. We rely on the public through our website at www.erietrapandrelease.com and on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ErieTrapAndRelease to fund these operations by getting the support of people like you to spread the word. Please help us in this important and very worthwhile venture by purchasing a T-shirt and saving a life!

I would like to donate more but can't right now. I've read a lot about TNR programs and know they are effective. The cats also lead happier lives I once returned, especially the females I can't stand to see people "dump" unwanted cats and kittens

I volunteer at a local Humane Society. We have so many unwanted cats that need homes. Feral cats are fairly dangerous to native low nesting birds. There are lots of good reasons. Domestic cats do not belong outside.

I believe in the TNR program here in Duval County, Florida we have an organization that does this, First Coast No More Homeless Pets......and to me it cost less to fix them than to pts......
