About this campaign

Help raise awareness so we can find a cure for this ugly thing called cancer! Help us reach our goal of 75 shirts! Proceeds from these shirts are much appreciated and will be going towards out of pocket costs during treatment.

In January I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (Fancy name for breast cancer).  I noticed a rather large lump while doing  self exam right around the new year.  I had a doctors appointment and within a week I went for a mammogram and an ultrasound.  The results were not good so they sent me for a biopsy the next week.  Four long day later I was given the grim diagnosis. I had two appointments that next week to discuss surgery and treatment.  It was all so much information to take in so fast!  I am not even sure I was able to process it all. Then on 1/30/15, I had a partial lumpectomy and sentinol node biopsy.  I healed well from the surgery, I was given great news the beginning of February that the pathology report from my tumor & node removal both came back negative and the cancer has not spread. They were able to remove it all, yea!  However, the test came back on the tumor not so promising.  It was a highly aggressive tumor and so they are putting me through treatment so I have a less chance of it returning in the future. Chemotherapy started 3/19/15 I have 16 treatments to go through and then 5 weeks of Mon-Fri radiation to follow. So far I am still doing well.  Jim and I will be twins in a just a short time. (due to lose my hair around Easter)   So please, check your self on a regular basis and schedule your appointments, it's so VERY important!!  You never know what life will bring you!
I have been blessed already with the support from everyone and I cannot express my gratitude! Please continue to raise awareness and show your support for this UGLY thing called Cancer!
