About this campaign

This shirt is to show support to Mike Bell and his familyas well asto help everyone remember tocontinue praying fora miracle healing for him and strength for his family. In other words, help them Buck Cancer!!!

Mike Bell, who was the sole supporter of his family, was diagnosed with an egg sized, very aggressive brain tumor (glioblastoma, grade IV) after his family noticed him quickly losing motor function of his left arm, hand and leg and slurred speachover just a matter of days. The neurosurgeon operated on December 15, 2014 and removed what he felt was over 90% of the tumor. Complications caused them to have to do a second surgery on December 23 to remove a blood clot that had developed in the tumor area and the neurosurgeon was able to remove a little more of the remaining tumor. Mike was in ICU for almost 4 weeks and then transferred into a rehab hospital for 3 weeks where he made significant progress toward getting his motor function back on the left side of his body. Even though he was stillnot able to walk, he was released to come home to begin radiation and chemo to shrink and kill the remaining tumor on February 2 and to continue his rehab therapy at home. After just 12 treatments of the radiation therapy, Mike developed chest pains and was sent back to the hospital to have it checked out. While there, the doctors took more images of his brain and compared it to the images taken just after his second surgery and called his neurosurgeon in for a consult. The tumor had grown significantly and had filled in about 50% of the original tumor area. It was determined that it was not responding to the chemo and radiation and more surgery was not an option. The recommendation of the doctors was that he be placed on hospice which is what his family decided was the best thing to do.The money raised from this booster t-shirt will be used to offset the over $9,000out of pocket medical expenses that the family is having to pay. Please help him BUCK CANCER!!!!
