More About the Palomino's
Sean Palomino, an Epic Games employee, and his family recently encountered a major setback when a moving van en route to North Carolina suffered a brake malfunction and subsequent fire, resulting in the loss of all of the family’s personal belongings.
As a close friend to me and a few other Inkers, we wanted to help. I asked Epic if CustomInk’s in-house art team could create a Gears branded shirt for his Booster, and they agreed!
So, here it is! Let’s band together to help this ‘Brother to the End’ with a one-of-a-kind Gears of War inspired shirt. All of the raised funds will go directly to the Palomino family. Shirts will arrive approximately 2 weeks after the close date, in time for Christmas!
Due to the AMAZING amount of support we have received, we are going to extend the campaign for 24 more hours! This is our last push to make this even more amazing. The extension will not effect delivery times, so these are still some great last minute holiday gifts! As of this update we have raised over $2500 dollars -- at over 200 shirts -- and we have more than doubled our initial goal! Thank you all SO much for the support! Full steam ahead!
In early October, the Palomino’s made the journey from Texas to relocate to North Carolina in an effort to be closer to family and to explore new career opportunities. Sean, a five-year veteran of the gaming industry, took on an exciting opportunity as the Development Support Manager at Epic Games. Ultimately, some things happen that cannot be planned for and the van transporting all of the family’s belongings experienced a freak accident, leaving nothing salvageable.
The Palomino’s are a great family and are taking this circumstance in stride. By purchasing a shirt, not only will you look like a complete bad-ass, but your support goes to a great cause and amazing group of people!
