About this campaign

Beyond Stage 4 exists to educate, strengthen, and ultimately find a cure for young women with late stage breast cancer, through both direct action and in collaboration with other impactful, like-minded charities.

Beyond Stage 4's President, Sarah Merchant, was diagnosed at 28 with metastatic breast cancer in 2010. Like the majority of young women diagnosed each year, Sarah had no family history of breast cancer. In 2012 Sarah wanted to start a volunteer-run nonprofit, Beyond Stage 4, Inc., in the hopes of helping to empower other young survivors to be their own advocates, to show the world what it’s like to have metastatic breast cancer, as well as to raise more funds for the under-funded metastatic breast cancer research community. Sarah's main goal is to aid in finding a cure. With her background in design she has designed this 'CURE' shirt in the hopes to raise awareness and funds for metastatic breast cancer.
