About this campaign

My brother, whose name is Benjamin, has a mental illness that affects him, and the others he has lived around, greatly. He needs his own, safe, space to live where he will notget kicked out for his abnormal behavior. He is disabled so he is on avery limited budget. Making a hotel and affordable place for him and others like him to live is ideal.

Making a hotel and affordable place for him and others like him to live is ideal. In/At the Benjamin House, each resident would have his own room with a bathroom(hotel room)with a locked front door for his safety and privacy. As owner and manager, I would sound proof/ reinforce inner walls as to minimize the noise pollution that some mentally ill people make; Some mentally illtend to be louder than normal and sometimes nocturnal. The hotel wouldhave a cafeteria that would serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A monthly charge would be taken with their portion of the rent; this service is needed for my brother and I'm sure for other mentally ill people. Residents would be free to come and go at all hours, day and night, but there would be a check-in and -out of the gated premise for the safety of those who reside at the Benjamin House. Residents would be free to wander/ meander the property as long as no harm is done or crime committed; this wouldgive them space towander, but not disturb the city streets as some are prone to do. Lastly, but most importantly, I would provide activities or events to help build relationships with family members and community members;I would seek out family members and invite them to help aroundTHE HOUSE, or volunteer a day participate in a fieldtrip. I would encourage interactions with strong supportive community members to form basketball or soccer teams to challenge our resident teams. Wow, for this all to even happen or be successful, I need financial support from all, God to bring it all together, and me to have courage to see it through.
