About this campaign

Be Heaven Sent =A movement dedicated to being a blessing to those less fortunate than you.

The Be Heaven Sent Movement was started on April 2nd 2015 after I had an encounter with a homeless man named Mikethat literally changed my life. There were so many "life's lessons" that I learned whiletaking the time to speak with him.One of the things is to use what you got to be a blessing to someone else.

So my desire is sell 500 shirts and haveall of us to usethese shirts as a reminder to "Be Heaven Sent", and the proceeds will be used to:

1) Get Mike A New Bike
2) Pay For A Year's Lodging For Mike At The Dallas Life Foundation
3) Pay For A Year's Locker Rental Inside The ShelterFor Mike
4) Purchase New Clothes For Mike & Sneakers
5) Purchase A Walmart Card Pre-Loaded For Mike To Use For Grocery

Thank you all for reading my story on Facebook, and for sharing it around the country. I look forward to sharing all that I've learned from this encounter with all of you in the near future.

God Bless, and remember to listen to His voice as He guides you to opportunities simply for you toBe Heaven Sent!

- Mia

Here's the original story on Facebookthat started it all...

Ok FB those of you who know me know that I really don't share my business on social media, but I just had a God experience that blessed me so much that I thought I'd share it in hopes that it too blesses you...

So I run to the store to get Tank some pull up and a homeless man "TRIED" to approach me about cleaning my head lights. I pretended not to hear him as I quickly ran into a store next to Walmart.

I leave that store and walk into Walmart and the homeless guy is standing inside of Walmart and he says...

Homeless Guy: Hi my name is Mike and I wanted to know if I could clean your headlights. I can make them shine like new. I am homeless and I clean headlights on commission across the street at the inspection tire shop. My boss charges $25 I normally charge $10 but today I am just trying to make $4 so I will do it for $4 for you.

Me: Ok so what is $4 going to do for you
Mike: ell as you can see I really need to take a shower and I live in a shelter. You can stay at the shelter for 10 days for free, but then you pay $10 and I just need to make $4 more so that I can go in tonight.

Me: thinking = sigh, sir I have no cash on me, now I gotta get cash back blah, blah, blah, you're killing me Mike (just rude and ugly)

Me: Well I have no cash on me

Mike: Well they'll give you cash back here as you check out and I promise I'll make your headlights like new!

Me: Ok .... * and I turned and walked away*

As i'm walking through the store the Holy Spirit is speaking, convicting, and instructing me. I checked out and Mike walks up to me as I was checking out and excitedly says come look, come look, come look at your headlights!

Now in my head I'm thinking WOW he TRUSTED my word and cleaned them BEFORE I even checked out. I get to my car and Mike says go look at the headlights and I said I don't need to God bless you and I give Mike the amount of cash the Holy Spirit instructed me to.

Mike: Oh wow, Oh gosh, man thank you geesh thank you so much!

Me: You're welcome God Bless.

I get in my car and Mike starts walking away then stops and says oh let me get something to eat. I got out the car and said are you going to get something to eat? He says yes I said well do you want something from Burger King? He says no ma'am I'll get peanut butter and bread it will last longer. So I get out the car and walk inside with Mike and we begin to talk. He shares with me how he has to account for EVERY dime that he has and how he MUST use it wisely. He showed me the $1.29 peanut butter he buys and the $.88 bread that he buys. And we proceed to walk together to the checkout. I ask him where the shelter is and he tells me it's downtown by Baylor hospital and he'll ride his bike there. He talked about how he had 1 more stop to make because get this...He runs errands for the handicap goes to walmart for them, gets medications filled for them etc... etc... and they'll pay him $2 - $3 dollars for running the errands and if they don't have the money he just does it anyways cause they need the help. By now I am floored at the generosity of this HOMELESS man.

He says to the teller I'll pay for this in coins and pulls out a hand full of pennies and nickles and dimes. I pulled out my remaining cash from my "cash back" purchase and I pay for his peanut butter and bread. He looks at me and says Mia you're heaven sent. His eyes began to fill with tears and he said wow thank you so much thank you thank you. We walk back to my car and he goes to his bike and I say Mike may God's blessings be upon you every day good luck to you. Mike's response...

Mia God has already blessed me. Each day that I wake up alive I realize that I am blessed. To be able to help the handicap is a reflection of one who is blessed. I am homeless and able to work commission at a tire shop that's another blessing. I am no longer walking I now have a bike (it was raggedy, paint worn, looked to be trash worthy) that too is a blessing. I can go to a shelter, take a hot shower every FEW days and lay my head peacefully at night that's a blessing and once in a while I come across folks that are heaven sent like you. I am already a blessed man Mia.

I shake my head in disbelief as I stand there and listen to the voice of God speaking so lovingly yet sternly to me. What did God say to me? He said...

1. Mia stop complaining about the luxuries in life that you have.
2. Mia you need to ALWAYS be grateful for the things I provide for you because there are others that are worse off than you and they are beyond grateful for my simple provision.
3. Last but not least He said Mia you're never ever in a position NOT to be a blessing to someone. Doesn't matter what you do or don't have in your bank account. Doesn't matter what type of car you can or cannot drive use what you have which is an abundance of wealth and be a blessing to someone else.

So Facebook here is my new friend Mike and I. He kept calling me heaven sent, but I must say that on this beautiful Thursday night the Lord used him to change my life's perspective and show me just how FAR FROM living my life as a "Christian" I have been so to me that makes him the one who was heaven sent.
