Beau Mirchoff

Viewers can currently see Beau Mirchoff in the People’s Choice Award-winning scripted series “Awkward” on MTV. The series tells the story of outcast teen Jenna and the problems she encounters in high school after a major misunderstanding leaves her with an unwanted stigma. Mirchoff plays “Matty McKibben,” the most popular guy in school, conflicted by a secret love affair with the show’s protagonist. The show has become a critical darling, with the New York Times calling it “the smartest, freshest, most moving new sitcom of 2011” in an article that also named Beau’s character as “the most interesting in the show.”

Beau also recently won the 2012 Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Breakout Star and was named one of the “100 Cutest Guys” by Us Weekly magazine and one of the “Sexiest Men Alive” by People Magazine.

Before his role on “Awkward,” Mirchoff turned heads during season six of the hit ABC series “Desperate Housewives” as “Danny Bolen,” son of Drea de Matteo’s character and boyfriend to Eva Longoria’s wayward niece Ana.

Born in Seattle, Washington and raised on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, Mirchoff began acting at age 16 when he auditioned for a role in the film Scary Movie 4, which happened to be filming in his hometown. After a stint on Canadian series “Heartland,” and a role in the film ˆThe Grudge 3,” Mirchoff decided to pursue acting full-time and made the move to Los Angeles.

Mirchoff’s other film work includes roles in I Am Number Four alongside Alex Pettyfer and the upcoming independent films The Secret Lives of Dorks, Poker Night and Grass Stains.

When not working, Mirchoff likes to stay active through outdoor activities such as football, lacrosse, competitive running, SCUBA diving and going on hikes with his Labradoodle named Cali.

About the Be Good to Each Other campaign

At CustomInk, we believe in the Golden Rule and treating others with kindness and respect. Statistics show that between 20-30% of school-aged kids in the United States have been bullied. That is why we've created the Be Good To Each Other campaign to help increase awareness and ultimately prevent bullying by uniting groups with custom t-shirts.

This is the third year of the CustomInk Be Good To Each Other campaign. With the help of our celebrity partners, the media and you, CustomInk has raised more than $20,000 for bullying prevention efforts. And the power of t-shirts goes beyond just the funds raised - thousands of people continue to wear the shirts they've purchased and spread the word that bullying is not okay!
