About this campaign

Some parents I run into on these NYC streets use verbal and physical punishment to "discipline" their children. It takes a combination of love and courage to stop them. "Well what should I do instead," they ask? The book "Beating Black Kids" will lend the solutions!

I work with parents professionally and personally in the capacity of lending them information and techniques to enhance their performance as caregivers. I am but one person, but there are 1000's of parents I need to reach who all too often channel their frustration towards their children. Putting the book "Beating Black Kids" into the hands of parents who need better solutions to disciplining or who may not be able to afford the book is the goal. "Beating Black Kids" serves as a proactive tool for learning practical ways to flow kids power and not punches.

These books will be gifted to families I meet in my everyday "Train Episodes" so many people read about, as well as to families within our affiliated organizations such as The Bronx Health Link, PB Young Elementary School in VA and The Baby College here in NYC. Meeting the goal of selling 1000 shirts will allow for me to gift over 850 families!  Now that's the magnitude I want to get this message out on!  Support the cause today!
