Raising For Cystic Fibrosis

My name is Bambie Davis and I have Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs, pancreas, liver and intestine. Our body creates thick mucus which in turn slowly destroys it. It is a terminal diease that currently has no cure. Medical advances have come a long way at treating our symptoms just not curing it. These tshirts were created in hopes to raise money and awareness towards Cystic Fibrosis.
This is my story. I am 29 years old and still fighting. I have an amazing, supportive man by my side and a beautiful daughter who is 2. My daily routine, just to maintain my health as best as possible, is: 2-4 treatments every day which include using a nebulizer for multiple meds and doing chest therapy for 30mins each treatment. I take 10 pills to start my day, 5-3 pills every time i eat, including snacks. And 7 pills before bed every day. Even with the best of care my body repeatedly gets lung infections. Every 3-6 months they occur and is reason to start IV antibotics. Sometimes administered at home other times during a hospital admit. This just sums up the last few years of my life. But since birth it has been a contstent battle of surgeries, hospitalizations, treatments and pills. I look forward to these medical advances to keep me here to raise my family and watch my daughter grow.
