About this campaign

We are BOLDLY GOING WHERE NO CON HAS GONE BEFORE -- BRINGING BACK, as VERY SPECIAL GUESTS, as many of the Guests of Honor from the the first 49 years of Balticon as are willing and able to attend!

2016 is a very special year for Balticon. On Friday through Monday of (Memorial Day weekend (May 27-30, 2016,) we celebrate our 50th year of bringing together science fiction and fantasy professionals and fandom. Returning to our origins in Baltimore City, we have moved to the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel. We will offer a dedicated Dance Hall for dance events, career development intensive seminars for SF/F professionals, free autograph signings (as always), and our usual fantastic programming. We will expand our film festival and filmmaking program.

In addition to Guest of Honor George R. R. Martin, Artist Guest of Honor John Picacio and Music Guests of Honor Bill and Gretchen Roper, and Compton Crook GoH Alexandra Duncan, the following Balticon guest of honor Alumni have accepted our invitation to be our Very Special Guests and help us celebrate our Golden Anniversary:
