About this campaign

Bailey has SMA type 1. She has many medical needs and they're not all covered by insurance. We want to raise funds to help with medical expenses, as well as raise awareness of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The most common rare disease you've never heard of.

Spinal Muscular Atrophy is a genetic neuromuscular disease. It breaks down the muscles and takes away the ability to crawl, walk, sit-up, swallow, and eventually breathe. There is currently no cure or treatment, but they are getting closer every year. Our daughter Bailey has this disease and it requires many doctor's appointments and trips to the Children's hospital. Not all of the prescribed items she gets are covered by our insurance, so this will be the first of many fundraisers we will have. Buy a shirt to support Bailey and all the other SMA fighters. 15% of money raised will go to Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (curesma.org).
