2014 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Fundraiser

In 2005, when my niece was 4 months old, she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that disrupts the way cells remove waste products and fluids from the body. As a result, sticky mucus affects the lungs, pancreas and reproductive organs. Since 2006, I have been walking in the Great Strides walks to raise money for the Massachusetts/Rhode Island chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
