About this campaign

The goal of this campaign is to raise funds for: -the printing of size runs of the first full set of t-shirts to be sold in my new soon-to-be launched boutique line -new website -new business cards/rebranding -art supplies/registration fees to prepare for my upcoming art show.

Shirts will be delivered approximately 2 weeks after the close date.

Growing up in a single-parent household with a mother who was creating her own non-profit in her mid-20s, at a young age I became fully aware of the triumphs and trials of starting your own business. Even though every day was not easy, I knew my mother never had any regrets about making the decision to work for herself and because of that joy, she was able to build a nationally recognized business. Having that foundation, I could not help but want to walk in her shoes and do something I love; to have the opportunity to combine my love for fashion and art and create my own business which will allow me to devote more time to my paintings.

As a mixed media artist, I have a strong desire to distribute my artwork on canvas and beyond. My sketches filled up books growing up and as I've matured, I am inspired to do something more with them than hide them in my sketchbooks. Registrations for art shows, networking materials (business cards, websites, etc.), art supplies and t-shirt printing are expensive. Currently working two jobs (one of which is at an art supply store), I work tirelessly to juggle all of these expenses and even with all those clocked hours, that still does not aid in meeting my goals. I want to make my passion a full time pursuit! Your purchase of a t-shirt will not only assist in making my dream come true, but it will also help lay the foundation for what I have faith will make an impact in the larger art community. I want to distribute my artwork to art lovers everywhere. Whether they're wearing it or hanging it on their walls, I want my work to be in the homes of Fashionistas and art lovers alike. I have goals not only to bring exposure to under utilized communities in Chicago by eventually giving the proceeds of my sales from art shows/clothing sales to philanthropic organizations in need, but also to raise funds and awareness to global issues through my art.

I hope you can find it in your heart to support my endeavors. You will not only be investing in a dream but in one that is being put in motion and will surely benefit people other than myself.
