About this campaign

The purpose of the Alajawan Brown Foundation is to continue the work started in the spirit of 12 year old Alajawan Brown who selflessly gave of himself, his time, and resources – just to make a difference in the most important aspect of his community: PEOPLE.

"I want to make a difference in my community." - Alajawan BrownAlajawan 8x10jpgAlajawan is the youngest of four children born to Louis and Ayanna Brown.  In his brief 12 years, Alajawan made many strides to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Alajawan has done everything from having a lawn service to tutoring to feeding the hungry with money in his pocket.  As we can see from his photo, Alajawan was a football player.  He made the decision to pay his own way for the upcoming 2010 season.  Alajawan found cleats on sale at the local Wal-Mart and went to purchase them.  He never made it home.  He was tragically shot and killed in a case of mistaken identity by a 35 year old gang member.  We lost Alajawan too early and the world will forever miss his laugh, his love for his parents and his family, and his deep commitment to his community. Help us keep his dream alive by supporting this cause.
