About this campaign

A Day Without Touch is a solidarity challenge to assist Doctors Without Borders in its fight against Ebola. Wear this shirt to raise awareness about the campaign and help with fundraising.

A Day Without Touch Challenge
Help Doctors Without Borders Fight Ebola

The world is confronting a peace-time humanitarian crisis of unprecedented proportions. Since March 2014, the ebola virus has killed more than 4,000 people and continues to spread. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control projects the disease could infect as many as 1.4 million people by January 2014, killing up to 70% of those infected, and potentially becoming endemic in Western Africa.

But there is hope. Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) currently runs five Ebola-management centers with 2000 staff. These courageous individuals are helping stem the tide, but more are urgently needed. The World Health Organization says a 20-fold increase in health care workers is necessary to bring the outbreak under control. The only way that will happen is with support from people like us.

How It Works

A Day Without Touch is a solidarity challenge to assist MSF in its work while increasing awareness about how Ebola parasitizes” humanity, using our most human impulses--to touch and care for those who are sick and in need--to propogate disease. People who take the Challenge avoid direct skin-to-skin contact for as long as possible while sharing their experiences via social media. Please  take the A Day Without Touch Challenge today.

Thank you for your support! Together we will make a difference.
