I Helped Bailey's Birds 2014

Bailey Rose won a chicken as part of her Life Cycle Studies in Kindergarden in 2013-14.
I never would have thought Chickens would have been a good fit for her. I was wrong.  I have never seen a young gal love something so much she wants to share with others.  She genuinely wants to help others get the facts and become more interested in keeping chickens. She wants to keep them for the wonderful eggs they provide, but also wants to keep a small flock for food as well (To help feed the family) We have had several events that showcased her birds and invited other local folks to join in the fun.  She has given children her chicks to get them started in this entertaining hobby.
The catch is, although her chickens are somewhat paying for them selves right now, she wants to have more chickens to share in the spring.  Means more supplies to be purchased and feed for several stages of growth and medicines when needed.  It Adds Up Quick.
