As a returning Ambassador for 2015, I am honored to return to Jacksonville in February - not only for theincredible race, but for the opportunity to continue to spread the uplifting message of the event's namesake,Donna Deegan, a three-time breast cancer survivor who has not only made it her life's mission toFINISHbreast cancer, but is also the nicest, sweetest and most positive person you will ever meet. So, what makes 26.2 with DONNA so special, and worthy of your support? Well, here are just a few reasons: 26.2 with DONNA is the ONLY marathon in the United States that is dedicated to breast cancer research and care. All net proceeds (YES, ALL!) are applied toward the drive to FINISH breast cancer! 70 percent goes to theMayo Clinicfor bench top breast cancer research, and the remaining 30 percent go tothe Donna Foundation, an incredible organization that assists women with everything from paying bills, rent or mortgage, to obtaining agreements with vendors to supply chemotherapy drugs, medical services, prescriptions (and even wigs) at a discounted rate.
