About this campaign

The Harold Astor Juluke (H.A.J.) book drive needs your help in supporting NICU families. Please help by purchasing this great t-shirt for $15. All funds raised will be used to purchase books for the NICU families of the Women's Pavilion at Ochsner Baptist. 

The Harold Astor Juluke (H.A.J.) book drive started in 2009 as a way for our family to help support NICU families bond with their babies during a critical time. Having experienced this with our son, Harold A. Juluke, who was born 18 weeks early weighing just 1 lb. 1.5 oz. we were unable to touch or hold him for the first six weeks of his life.

As parents we had to find a way to bond with our son, who was fighting for his life! What we realized early on was that we could build a bond with our son by reading to him daily. So that is what we did, everyday. We found such peace and felt like somehow we were contributing to his care. 

Would you please find it in your heart to help another family bond with their baby?
