About this campaign

The Omicron chapter of Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority is established to promote equality and diversity, provide exceptional service to instrumental ensembles, and to cultivate leadership development, educational achievement, music appreciation and community involvement among its members.

Tau Beta Sigma is a national honorary band service organization dedicated to providing aid to collegiate bands. At the University of Utah, the Omicron Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma works closely with the Marching Utes to help craft a better band for its members through service projects, social events, and outstanding leadership. Omicron has a long history of awards and recognition, including "Chapter of the Year," "Distinguished Sister" (highest honor in the Western United States), and "The Baton" (highest National honor).
-Our annual "Conduct Us" performance for Primary Children's Hospital, in which patients conduct Christmas carols for a small performance ensemble.
-"Scouting for Music," where Omicron teamed up with another TBS chapter at Utah State University to organize an event that aided Girl Scouts in receiving their music badges.
-"Women in Music" speaker series, where music professionals meet with members to discuss their experiences as women in music leadership.
