World Sickle Cell Day

Responding to the UN's resolution recognizing sickle-cell anemia as a public health problem early in 2009, I became the “Paula Revere” of World Sickle Cell Day (WSCD)! In 2009, to promote World Sickle Cell Day, we created a WSCD LogoMagnetand to date have made and passed out Thousands!!! Also, we host a website andFB page devoted to displaying global activities. In 2014, a partnership wascreated between Juneteenth and World Sickle Cell Day to further Sickle Cell Education and Awareness. The T-Shirt was designed to be part of our See Sickle Cell ~ Say Sickle Cell Awareness/Education Tool and Conversation Starter. The Sickle Cell is a real one, taken from a microscope slide found online!
