Booster for New York Conference in February

My name is Jose A. RivaMy name is Joe Rivas.  I am a children’s book writer with cerebral palsy.  I am raising contributions to attend the New York's Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SBCWI) Conference in February.  The overall targeted goal to cover the cost to attend the conference is $2,500.00.  My primary goal for attending the conference is to promote my Wheelin Willy & Friends stories to literary agents and publishers.  These stories are written to enhance awareness about children with disabilities to other kids.  Below is a brief description about young Wheelin Willy. 

Willy is a boy that uses a wheelchair with a speech impairment.  I have written 13 different short chapter children’s stories about the character.  Additional characters includes; Baseball Billy (a child with Down Syndrome), Jason with Autism, Dancing Dora (wheelchair user with Spinal Bifida), Susie, and Aspen (Willy’s fury white lovable dog).  The title series is called “Wheelin Willy & Friend.”  My motivation comes from the community that supports my endeavors.  

The costs to attend the conference are listed below. Contributions may cover the cost of the airline flight expenses, hotel costs, and ground transportation or donations can be placed in the general fund for any additional expenses.
