The National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE)isthe nation’s leading social justice advocacy organization winning life-saving change fortransgender people.

At NCTE, we fight every day to ensure that there is a strong and clear voice for transgender equality in our nation's capital and around the country. That the T’s not silent.

Campaign #1 was a success and we are back for round #2! Grab a shirt today to help stop discrimination and violence against trans people.

On May 18th, NCTE is hosting our 13th Anniversary Celebration [http://www.transequality.org/transvisibility] in Washington D.C. The theme of this year’s event is “Transvisibility: The T’s Not Silent.” As trans issues and individuals are seen in the White House, media and Hollywood, Transvisibility is at its peak. NCTE is celebrating these successes while preparing for future challenges. Join friends of NCTE, movement leaders, political leaders, Administration officials, and allies from all over the country. The reception will offer an opportunity to learn about, celebrate, and support the transgender movement and NCTE's 13 years of being the loudest and most effective trans voice in Washington.

Learn more about NCTE and our work at http://www.transequality.org/.

All funds raised will go to the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE)

I work at a community college in the nursing program and I am trying to do my part to ensure that the next wave of nursing students are well on their journey of cultural competence and humility in caring for future patients who identify as trans*.
