Medical Mission Trip August 2015 to the Dominican Republic

When you go out on Mission with the intention of helping others to better their lives, you never expect to be bettering your own life in the process. We witness the strength, hope & happinessshine througheveryone we meet throughout our trip each year. Team Tampa Bay took its first Mission Trip in June of 2010. The group is made up of various medical and non-medical volunteers working together to provide clinics in the Bateys of La Romana. The Bateys are small villages in remote areas which house sugar cane workers. We travel with all the supplies needed in order to setup clinics on the spot in churches or schools at each Batey. We typically treat anywhere between400-700 people throughout our week of work . Our supplies consist of prescription and non-prescription medications, medical supplies, shoes, clothing, toys and school supplies.

We are traveling to La Romana August 1-13and are looking forwardto an amazing time as agroup.

All donations made will be used towards helping to purchase medications and medical supplies needed to run our clinics. Any extra funds will go towards supporting local programs in La Romana such as scholarships, building water filters, providing food, etc. Any and every donation whether it is monetary, warm wishes or prayers are beyond graciously accepted by our group.
