About this campaign
What is GTT? Gestational trophoblastic tumor, a rare cancer in women, is a disease in which cancer (malignant) cells grow in the tissues that are formed following conception (the joining of sperm and egg). Gestational trophoblastic tumors start inside the uterus, the hollow, muscular, pear-shaped organ where a baby grows. This type of cancer occurs in women during the years when they are able to have children. There are two types of gestational trophoblastic tumors: hydatidiform mole and choriocarcinoma. For my amazing and strong cousin Meghann Benn.
I am a survivor of Gestational Trophoblastic Disease that spread to my lungs from a CMP and was very, very sick during the treatment for it. Things may have been easier if more was understood how to treat and find it faster with more knowledge of it.
I have an amazing group of family and friends that have come together to show support. I'm so thankful for all of them and I pray that others affected by this will have same support I have received thought this difficult time. God is good!
