About this campaign
Every day, dogs and cats arrive at the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
Many of them come with medical issues that make getting them adopted very difficult and often impossible, the worst of them being heartworms. Our operational budget covers the cost of care for the average animal, but for those who need extra treatment, there aren't usually funds to pay for it.
And since most adopters are looking for healthy animals, those with serious medical conditions are sometimes sadly euthanized.
Animals like Hammy- a dog with a great personality (and an adorable face!) who is heart worm positive and will need an expensive, time-consuming treatment.
We envision a community where every companion animal has a safe and loving home.
The Humane Society of Southeast Missouri serves the public health by providing quality humane care, adoption, and education for the good of companion animals and humans in our regional service area.
