SCI Awareness Month

June 7, 2015 my life changed suddenly. As a result of domestic violence, my neck broke at c5/c6 and became quadriplegic. I was in the hospital for three months, had two surgeries and intensive therapy. I have come very far over the course of a year. Doctors said I would never walk again, but I am learning to walk. I am feeling strong and ready to return to normal life but I need the help of my family, friends, and community to get there due to the extreme expense of recovery from and living with a spinal cord injury.
