About this campaign

Save the Coral Reefs is a documentary that is currently in pre-production. The theme of the film is to look at the direct relation between land and coral reef health and why is so important that we keep both excellent conditions.

After a snorkeling expedition for my first (short) documentary, Forever Boogies, I was compelled to focus my follow up documentary on environmental conservation and its direct relation to sports on Coral Reefs. With the support of a local volunteer group that farms corals, I've been able to plan efficiently for the next endeavor. However, without funding there isn't much I can do, and that's where you come in. With the sale of each t-shirt, I will be able to get safe and proper underwater filming equipment, as well as donate toward the Puerto Rico Coral Reef Task Force that does so much to ensure the health of coral reefs and marine life in the coasts of the islands with little to no funding. For the past 15 years, they have been working relentlessly to farm, revive, and conserve local coral reefs and marine life for the benefit of the island and water sports alike. But, their efforts have been stonewalled by local officials who constantly make it harder for them to get the funding they so need for their work to continue with ease. Still, the men and women of the Task Force continue to INVEST money out of their own pockets into the conservation and  education (e.g. workshops, talks at local schools, etc.) of marine environment.
