About this campaign

Sarcoid Networking Association is planning our 22nd, conference on Sarcoidosis. We are raising funds in order to bring in speakers who are experts in our field. In order to  do this, we are asking you to not only build awareness but help us meet our goal.

Since 1992,we have been sharing information about Sarcoidosis with patients/ medical personnel through conferences, newsletters, phone calls, email, and mailing information. From the Director, to the Board, the Treasurer, and Web Master, we all work on a volunteer basis. We will continue to do so regardless of money that comes in but there is a great need for awareness about Sarcoidosis, a multi-systemic disease that causes the body to turn against itself. There is too little research and there is no known cause or cure. Even the medications are borrowed and largely ineffective. We strive to bring awareness and our conferences, held at Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon, is an important part of that. Please help us fund our conference and bring awareness to this uncommon, misunderstood, and devastating disease. Thank you.

I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in 1966 and the research seems to be moving very slowly. At that time, Dolores O'Leary and became acquainted and began to communicate.

I have chronic, systemic sarcoidosis, and I appreciate everything the Newsletter and the people who have been associated with the Newsletter have done for all of us who "share" this disease. Thank you!

Tana L. Cooper 1 item

I was diagnosed with this dreadful disease in 2009 and my life totally changed. In one month I went to being fairly active to not being able to hardly walk. I support my fellow snowflakes on their personal journey to once again get pain-free.
