The Red Panda is the only species of its kind in the world, highlighting the importance of its
preservation to the world’s natural heritage and global biodiversity.
Contributions received from International Red Panda Day will support our
red panda habitat work: research, conservation, and education, including
the creation of six new nurseries of medicinal and aromatic plants and
bamboo species favored by red pandas in eastern Nepal. Red Panda Network promotes
sustainable development and provides alternative economic opportunities
in communities within red panda habitat.
