About this campaign

The Washington,DC chapter of the NC A&T Alumni Association is one of the largest and most vibrant chapters in the nation. The DC Chapter is embarking on an ambitious rebranding effort to encourage support for rebuilding our historic alumni house located at 1810 15th Street NW.

If we reach our goal of 50 shirts sold, we will raise $439.00. All funds raised will go to the North Carolina A&T State University Alumni Association of Washington, DC.

The 2013-14 DC Chapter T-Shirt was designed by Duane Nash, a 2001 graduate of North Carolina A&T.

Shirts will be delivered approximately 2 weeks after the close date.

The Washington,DC chapter of the NC A&T Alumni Association is one of the largest and most vibrant chapters in the nation. The DC Chapter is embarking on an ambitious rebranding effort to encourage support for rebuilding our historic alumni house located at 1810 15th Street NW.

The Washington, DC chapter was established on October 22, 1946 as “The DeeCee Aggies” and later as the “A&T Club.” For the last 67 years, the DC Aggies have made an everlasting mark on our community and the North Carolina A&T State University Alumni Association. The chapter has been a social and service hub for Aggies in the DMV and nationwide. In 1963, the DC Chapter made the visionary decision to begin securing funds to purchase our current facility which was purchased in 1965 located at 1810 15thStreet Northwest.

For nearly 48 years, the DC Aggies have maintained a stately presence on 15th Street just steps away from the booming communities of Adams Morgan and U Street. However, our Aggie home needs serious TLC. This campaign will go support the projects of the DC Chapter as we seek to revitalize our chapter’s physical headquarters and build a new buzz among the Aggies in the DMV.

Funds from this campaign will be dedicated to the Rebuild! Campaign for the DC Chapter. The immediate project is the replacement of the roof which is expected to cost $23,000. Learn more about the Rebuild! Campaign at www.rebuild.wdc-ncatalumni.org and learn more about the Washington, DC Chapter at www.wdc-ncatsualumni.org.
