The Pietenpol Project

the passion of aviation has been a part of my life from before I can remember with going to the airport with my father as a child, watching and helping build airplanes and now I have the chance to do the same with my son. The pietenpol project concept came from talking with my father one cold snow swept day while working on an airplane at the shop where we were both working at the time, telling him how I wished I had an airplane that my son and I could go fly about and just land some where, pitch a tent, start a fire, and go camping for the weekend this is where he piped in and said that I needed a pietenpol aircamper, having no idea what that was I went home looking for an AIR...Camper... Well thats not what I had found. I found a high wing open cockpit post WWI aircraft but fell in love with the design, after expressing my self to my father that it was not a camper at all but nothing more then a wood and fabric aircraft I purchased the blueprints and the wood for the wing and tail of thus said aircraft I have the wing almost done and now we need your help to keep this dream alive and not just gathering dust in the corner of the garage just to be buried and never to be seen again so with your help I can build the dream of flying with dad going nowhere fast with my son just as my father did with me so many years ago.
