Midland Humane Coalition Fund Raiser

Midland Humane Coalition is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose Mission is to partner with the citizens of Midland to end euthanasia of adoptable animals in Midland and in the Permian Basin.

In fiscal year 09-10, Midland Animal Services euthanized around 4,400 animals; the first time since 1995 that the number had been below 4,500.
The first meeting of 80 plus citizens as well as multiple media outlets was held in May of 2010. The group generated significant community interest agreeing to create Midland Humane Coalition. Our goal was to build awareness of the euthanasia rate in Midland, create an education program, and to raise funds for our adoption center. We have a great partnership with PetSmart Charities and are working on raising funds to build a wellness center so that we can ensure the health and well being of our dogs and cats before they come to our adoption center inside PetSmart.
