Love for Blue 2015

In April 2014, my Dad...Ernest "Blue" was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer. He had surgery, 2 weeks later to remove most of his colon. And we have spent the last 9 months fighting this beast. My Dad has undergone radiation, chemotherapy, and has spent more time in the hospital, than out of. We've had an AMAZING team that has been by our side, this entire time. I've been lucky enough, to take time away from "real" life, to take care of my Dad. But weknow that is a real luxury. We want to give back, to the people in our community. The ones that are struggling. The people that need an extra helping hand. We'd also like to donate money, towards finding a cure. One day, we would like to know, that people are not suffering with colon cancer. Every single day, I see my Dad in pain, from his cancer. And we'd like to know, in some way, we've helped to find a cure. To know that people are not suffering, the way he is. In April, to mark his 1 year anniversary, we are planning a 5K Run/Walk. With all the profits going toward our local cancer groups. As a family, we'd like to show our appreciation for the wonderful care, that we all receive. Because cancer truly does touch every single one of us. Our family is trying to raise as much money as possible, to help the next family out. This road has been a tough one. And we'd like to make it a little easier, for anyone else who has to travel it. Thank you for your support.
