Taylor "Cancer Warrior" Hammond's Make a Wish Trip!

Meet Taylor, our cancer warrior. You can always catch him throwing up the V for victory, because we expect nothing less! We adopted Taylor out of foster care when he was just three years old. The story of our adoption was featured on our local news at this link (www.tinyurl.com/teamhammond1) We have since fostered two more of his siblings and currently have a total of 6 foster and adopted kids all ages 7 and under! All of them are drug exposed and special needs children. Taylor was healthy until February 2013 when he was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia (cancer of the blood). His oncologist has only seen three cases of this type of cancer in his extensive career. He says Taylor has a 60 percent chance of survival with a bone marrow transplant. He is currently going through inpatient and outpatient chemo and needs a bone marrow donor. He is mixed heritage (Black and Asian) so it is hard to find a donor. One donor was found who matched all the markers for Taylor, but unfortunately she decided not to donate. He is currently going through intense chemo and has been hospitalized numerous times. He's so brave and so strong. He never cries or complains. We are praying for a miracle for him and his recovery. 

This fundraiser is to help spread the word about his life & the awesomeness of the Bone Marrow Registry. We are raising money to help with the extra costs of his Make-A-Wish trip and to help offset some of the costs related to his cancer treatment. He asked to go on a "Disney Boat", and his wish was granted! We set sail in August and couldn't be more excited. Your donation will help purchase some of the travel necessities that we lack, plus you'll get this great shirt!
