About this campaign

We are raising money for whenChristophergets to come home from the NICU . Makingso many trips from home to Tulsa hits hard on the gas budget , and leaves nothing to save for the things he will need once he gets home .

Christopher was our second miracle baby and is truly our rainbow after the storm. After we lost BabyBenny to SIDS at only 11 weeks old ,Feb. 19 2013,we were sure our hearts would be broken for the rest of our lives .

Then September 3rd of 2013, we got our happy news . We have a opportunity to mend not only our hearts , but the hearts of Benny's brothers and sister who Lost the baby brother they loved so dearly. We were going to be blessed with another baby to shower with love.

Our bliss was short lived when December 4th (only a day after what would have beenBaby Benny's 1st Birthday)My water broke at only 16 weeks gestation. Scared out of our minds we rushed to the Dr. They explained all the dangers to me , told me one infection and it could not only kill the baby but there is a possibility it could kill me too. they told me his chances of survival were "almost none" and gave me the option to "terminate the pregnancy" . i told them " as long as his heart is beating , i refuse to stop it. I will take my chances" they prayed with me and asked that he make it to 24 weeks when he would be considered "viable"

at 20 weeks another rush to the emergency room with our hearts in our throats, because i started bleeding . We were scared to death , we thought for sure we were losing him. They told me all the risks , and how dangerous t was to continue the pregnancy. Because of the bleeding it increased the chances of infection, and they reminded me his chances of survival were "almost none"

They sent me to a specialist who told me our goal was 24 weeks , but with so little amniotic fluid , and the fact that i was losing blood every day ,the chances of him making it to 24 weeks where they could admit me to the hospital for complete bed rest and monitoring was "almost none"

I was admitted to the antepardum unit at 24 weeks. I prayed everyday he would stay put because if he came out "now" the chances of survival were almost "none"
He made it to exactly 25 weeks,I got an infection and within 2 hours i was in full blown labor and going into surgery. Christopher Raymond Pinnell Was born 01/26/2014 weighing only 1 lb 13 oz and 13 inches long.

the first night he wasn't responding to O2 the Dr came in and said they could try something else but the chances of a baby his size taking to it were "almost None"
he had a small bleed in his brain , the Drs said the chances of him being unaffected by it were" Almost none"chris3jpg

he got his eyes checked , with every thing he had been through with being small and the o2 and the bleeding in his brain the chances of there being nothing at all wrong with his eyes were "almost none"

Every time they said his chances were "almost None" , to survive , to breathe , to see, to eat, to thrive he has proved them wrong. not only has he proven them wrong but he has excelled to the n'th degree in any challenge he is faced with.

As of Today he is almost 5 lbs , eating good ,almost completely breathing on his own , and he is still to busy kicking ass to bother taking names. (which earned him the nickname "Lil Ass Kicker " from the walking Dead by his aunts because like that baby he has survived against all odds)

We don't live close to the hospital. we stayed at the Hospitality House as long as we could to be close to him. but we have 3 other kids who need us too. We make trips from Pryor to Tulsa as often as we can and try to schedule them during the school day so we can take care of the other kids needs too. But 100+ mile round trips so many times a week plus regular bills leave no money to buy the things he needs for when he comes home.

Please feel free to buy a T-shirt to show your support to this little miracle , donate or just add him to your prayers or share his story with Others who may be being told their baby's chancesare "almost none"
. Thank You and May your Day be Blessed
