The Staten Island Vipers is an affiliate of the American Basketball Association. The American Basketball Association often abbreviated as ABA was a professional basketball league founded in 1967 which originally merged with the NBA in 1976 and was revamped in 1999 as a semi-professional men's basketball league. The Staten Island Vipers were established in 2011 and this is the beginning of our third season.

The ABA is more than just a game, we provide family fun and entertainment at affordable prices. Our mission is to provide the community with a positive sense of leadership, positive role models and to enable our players to fulfill their hoop dreams. We have assembled a great group of guys and outstanding coaching staff. Our players consist of former high school standouts, Division 1 college players and overseas professionals. Many of our players have been born and raised in Staten Island. Our diversity allows us to target every demographic in a professional and unique manner regardless of economic status.

Our ownership and management team has extensive basketball knowledge and experience and our strength lies in our business focus and attention to detail. No stone will be left unturned in our pursuit of creating a winning franchise. While continuing to utilize our national and international networking capabilities, we believe that we have and will continue to make the necessary connections and strategic partnerships vital to solidifying us as a successful organization poised for explosive growth.

Your purchase will go towards enabling our organization to fully train and compete at a pro level while supporting the growth of competitive professionals in our community. Our primary revenue source is registration fees paid by prospective players and ticket sales from our games. Since these funds do not cover all of the operating expenses, we must raise funds to pay for uniforms, equipment, training fees, gym rentals, travel and league fees.

We are currently looking for sponsors as well. The benefits in sponsoring our team will include signage at games and other events, promotional opportunities before and after games, the ability to reach any target market and the opportunity to entertaining clients and prospective customers by inviting them as VIPs to games and sponsored events. Most significantly this year will be our media coverage. Our games will be broadcasted on television and live over the radio.
