About this campaign

On Friday, April 11, 2014, Sgt. Frank Guinn of Atlanta Fire and Rescue was killed while riding his bike in training for a triathlon in New Orleans. We hope to honor Frank's memory and support his wife Kimberly and triplet daughters!

On Friday, April 11, 2014, Sgt. Frank Guinn of Atlanta Fire and Rescue was killed while riding his bike in training for a triathlon in New Orleans. His brother in-law Andrew Powell was critically injured in the same accident and remains hospitalized in New Orleans. Frank leaves behind his wife Kimberly, a school teacher, and his seven year old triplet daughters Makenna, Isabelle, and Alyssa, all of whom will benefit directly from the funds raised by this campaign.

While honoring Frank on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at a service in Atlanta, Rev. Kevin Daly took a moment to call all of those in attendance to action--It is our job to carry and share the "gospel" of sharing the road in Frank's memory. It's our job to prevent the loss of another servant, husband, father, and son. It's our job to honor Frank's life by helping to ensure that others can enjoy his passion safely.

Frank lived a very full life. No task he undertook was for the faint of heart--Not firefighting, not running triathlons, not marrying Kim (a little humor is a good thing), not raising triplet daughters, and most assuredly not the way the loved. Frank loved with his whole being. He loved everyone and every task he undertook.

It is with that same love and fearlessness that we take up this banner in his memory. When you see a cyclist in the road, remember that they have a right to be there and to LEAVE ROOM FOR FRANK if you pass--Share the Road, Yield 3 or More Feet.
