Kids on the Move for Success

On August 20, 2013, 870 children waited in fear as their elementary school rushed into lockdown mode.A gunman armed with an AK-47 was in the office with hundreds of rounds of ammunition.Would thenation face yet another school shooting story of tragedy? Who would be there totalk him down and save nearly a 1,000 lives?On that day, God chose me, Antoinette Tuff, for the job. The Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy did notsustain any injuries or fatalities whenunder siege by a gunman.

Since that faithful day, I have writtenmy bookPrepared For A Purpose and started a non-profit organization called Kids on the Move for Success.Kids on the Move for Success is helping every day students all over the world to have an educational opportunity that they would not receive on a normal basis. We strive to provide underprivileged children the educational opportunities to see the world through a new set of eyes. If you change their vision, you can change their lives! Thanksto the generosity of thousands of supporters, we have been able togive out our first round of scholarships to deserving students this year.
