globalbike is a not-for-profit organization that uses the transformative power of bicycles to connect women and girls in rural Tanzania with the life-saving resources they need to prosper sustainably.

gbconnect offers a fully supported week-long bicycle trek. All meals, lodging, activities, purified water, ground transport, bikes for travelers, and other on-the-ground essentials are included in the program. Participants stay in scenic, locally owned hotels, luxury tents, and enclosed campsites. Person-to-person hand-offs of donated globalbikes and seeing first-hand how globalbikes are being used by past recipients are features of the week-long trip. The trip is coordinated with and fully-supported by a locally-owned outfitter with extensive guiding experience and a strong belief in the power of bikes.  This Booster will help  me to attend this trip in the Summer of 2015!

Trip fees, traveler obligations, and appropriate ages and ability levels differ with each unique trip of gbconnect. However, generally, gbconnect travelers must purchase their own airfare and pay $500 to cover on-the-ground costs. Beyond that, travelers must raise $3,000 in tax-deductible contributions to support the work of globalbike.  All proceeds from this Booster will go towards my full goal, which is $5,000 to cover all expenses and includes the donation to the organization as well.

The Anvil Ladies shirts in size small and all youth size shirts will have the smaller design that you see.  All other shirts and sizes will have the larger design!
