Gallon of Gifts

On a cold rain fall day in 2008, my (then) 4 year old son was in the car with my wife. They stopped at a stop light and saw a man with a sign that said "Homeless, Hungry, Anything helps". He asked if my wife could give the man some money and she responded that she didn't think that was a good idea. Then, he rocked her world (and mine). He asked if he could give the man his socks, because it was cold and wet out. She explained that his socks probably wouldn't fit and that he would not want his dirty socks. He still wanted to help that man. And Gallon of Gifts was born. PJ has created about 800 of bags so far. A bottle of water, clean socks, something healthy to eat, tooth brush and paste, and hand warmers: some common contents of one of the gallon bags he makes to keep in our van. ​~ Austin (PJ's Dad)
