About this campaign
Extraordinary Extras needs your help to start our programs. Together we can change the world. We hope to startour first major program in Cebu City, Philippines by the end of 2015. It will be a technological and interactive Public Library/Youth Center. In the near future, we plan to partner with local libraries and organizations in the US to conduct tutoring and reading challenge events with fun prizes.

Extraordinary Extras is a Nonprofit that was initiallyformed because we saw a huge need in developing countries for better education for the poor. A lot of people living in these countries live in a kind of extreme poverty that many of us could never even imagine. No electricity, no education, no clean water, no bathroom,very little food (mainly rice), malnutrition, etc. Only 4% of charitable donations in America go to help anyone outside of our country, yet the biggest need is in developing countries where most peoplehave almostnothing and don’t receive the kind of help people here do.
Extraordinary Extras plans to do educational and tutoring programs to help at-risk and poor kids locally in the US, but our key focus will be to educate poor children in those extremely impoverished developing countries so that they may have a few of the opportunities that we do. What makes us different than other educational nonprofits is how we will go about achieving our mission. We will use fun and diverse programs to promote literacy.
Our first big program will be a Public Library/Youth Center for homeless and impoverished children in the Philippines where we will reward them for learning new things and reading books with extracurricular activities and fun adventures, such as swimming, gymnastics, hiking, and ziplining. If they go to school already, they will be able to attend an after school program to get tutoring as well as other activities. If they have not been able to afford school, we will prepare them by teaching them and sponsor them to go to school the next year.
We hope that this will just be the beginning of what we do to provide education to the poor to Fight Poverty! You can join us and help in this mission!
