Lyme Disease: My Final Battle

I became disabled by Lyme disease in my twenties seven years ago. On June 1st I had surgery to place a Hickman chest catheter. The surgery will cost around $2,000 when all the bills come in. I'm going to start a revolutionary Lyme treatment that is two straight months of IV antibiotics. It is working, people are going back to their lives, back to work and never looking back. However, it's expensive. The first month will cost just under $5,000. The second month my disability Medicare insurance has to help out because I will be in catastraophic coverage. They say they cover "most of the cost" but don't make it very clear what that means. I need help to pay all of this, but just as importantly to keep getting the word out about how devastating Lyme disease can be.
