About this campaign

When you buy a shirt to support Who Speaks for Me? you help support general operating costs and raise awareness to Dismantle the Trauma-To-Prison Pipeline for Women, Girls & LGBTQ!

WSFM works locally and nationally to bring programs to justice-involved women. We also host community forums with Returning Citizens called, “Sharing Our Stories to Reclaim Our Lives: Unpacking the Journey on the Trauma-to-Prison Pipeline.” All of our participants are paid a stipend for their contribution to these forums.
We also host Trauma Informed Justice Trainings and work to create alternatives to incarceration.




Who Speaks for Me?™ Project was born from the lived experience of Founder Taylar Nuevelle. While incarcerated and once she returned home, Taylar realized that there was an intersection between trauma and the rise in incarceration rates among women, girls and people in the LGBTQ community.

Trauma is at the heart of every ill. With this in mind, Taylar created programs and trainings to raise awareness about and dismantle the punitive system of the Trauma-to-Prison Pipeline.


WSFM creates programs that focus on intersections of incarceration: trauma, housing insecurity, and mental illness. These programs and trainings aim to raise awareness to build a Trauma Informed Justice System, create alternatives to incarceration and end mass incarceration!
