About this campaign

This 5K  will be held on April 19th at Gorilla Village on the Pittsburg State University campus in Pittsburg Kansas. Sign in will begin at 12 noon. The race will be from 1 pm- 3 pm. The funds from this race will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation Kansas Affiliate.

75% of the money raised will stay here in Kansas to help pay for mammograms, community outreach, and education. The other 25% will go directly to the National Research Program. I chose to raise money for this particular organization because a case of breast cancer hit close to home when I was still in High School. Ever since then I have felt strongly about the Susan G. Komen Foundation and what they are trying to do through research and the other various things that they do.
