Charlotte was born with a congenital malformation, a macrocystic lymphatic malformation, and was in the NICU for 2 months. We have since discovered she also has Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome which causes swelling in her left leg. We thought we were over the battle until recently when everything flared up and she spent 3 days in the hospital. Unfortunately, until the medication becomes effective again, she will continue to reaccumulate fluid in her abdomen and possibly have more drainages. She's an otherwise healthy, quite spunky almost 2 year old and we're just trying to get her back to normal! We don't know how much this will cost us, but anything we raise above her health care costs will be donated to the Nemours Foundation so other kiddos can get the help they need!
