Ashley's Voice Non-Profit

Ashley was a brilliant, vivacious, caring and talented girl just stepping toward adulthood when she choose to leave this world. Her loss has been a huge shock to the entire family and we have been left reeling.

Ashley was an honor student with a lot of friends and a huge interest in participating in drama. She loved movies and music and would dance around the house with her headphones on. She loved everyone so deeply that if she could we are pretty sure that she would have adopted half the world into the family. As much as Ashley loved people she loved animals even more and was determined to be a veterinarian when she grew up. Unfortunately she was also a victim of some very serious bullying.

The family is so stricken by this unexpected act that they are completely unprepared to deal with the loss, let alone have to deal with financial issues at the same time. We want the ability to lay our baby to rest in a manner that she deserves and cover any medical expenses that have been incurred by this terrible incident.

Our long term goal is to get our message into schools that if a student has concerns for another students or their own safety for ANY reason that they need to involve an adult that can help. We are hoping to raise enough money not only to pay for Ashley's expenses but fund a non-profit that provides "concern cards" to schools, so that students can fill them out and submit them to the counseling office, anonymously if they choose. The "concern cards" are students using Ashley's Voice to help one another stay safe.

We found out too late that plenty of people knew that Ashley was struggling, none of them understood how important it was to get people who could help involved, none of them thought it was "that bad". We didn't know that Ashley was being bullied, we didn't know that she was struggling with kids at school, but we want to Break The Silence that is so prevalent in our kids. Secrets can kill, and it is time to Stand Up, Speak Out and Save A Life.
