About this campaign

Wear this shirt for Amy as a symbol of encouragement, unity, and strength throughout her breast cancer battle!  100% of the proceeds will be used to help Amy pay her medical expenses.  Join Amy's Army today and help her fight back!

Tillia_066c_4x6jpgAmy was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was only 5 months pregnant.  She had a lump in her armpit, and a biopsy revealed it was invasive ductal carcinoma, and Her-2 positive, making it a fast moving cancer.  Because the cancer was also hormone and progesterone positive, Amy had no choice but to undergo chemo treatment while pregnant.

Mid-way through her cancer fight, Amy and her husband Justin, were thrilled to welcome a healthy baby girl.  Their daughter was nearly 6 weeks early and had to spend almost two weeks in the hospital's NICU.  Thankfully, she has her mom's warrior spirit and was able to get home quickly.

Amy continued her cancer battle as a new mom.  She received weekly chemo treatments from early December 2013 through March 2014.  On March 27th she underwent her first surgery, in which the doctors removed 5 lymph nodes that all tested negative for invasive ductal carcinoma (meaning that her cancer has not spread).  With that great news, also came some not so great news.  The surgeon found more abnormal cells that tested positive for situ ductal carcinoma, a non-invasive cancer that can not be treated by Chemo.  The margins were not clear enough, so Amy was advised to undergo a second surgery.  She is overwhelmed with excitement to report that the results from her second surgery came back with clear margins and no cancer!  Moving forward, she will go for Herceptin every three weeks until the end of November.  She knows there is still a long road ahead, but she is on the path to becoming a cancer survivor!
